Pervasive Software develops and distributes data infrastructure software and ETL tools that integrate, analyze, secure, manage and harvest data from disparate sources. Pervasive Data Integrator and Pervasive Data Profiler are the flagship integration products, and the Pervasive PSQL relational distributed database is the primary offering on the data storage side. These embeddable data management products deliver business-to-business integration between corporate data, third-party applications and custom software in a broad array of markets including accounting & finance, retail, CRM, government, healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, and education[2].
Pervasive Software is headquartered in Austin, Texas, and sells its products internationally with market development partners in the UK, Europe, Japan, ASEAN territories, Mexico, Korea, and China.[3]
The company is also heavily involved in Cloud computing through DataSolutions and its DataCloud offering [4] along with its long-standing relationship with SaaS giant, salesforce.com. [5]
Pervasive DataRush developers are engaged in work on a parallelized multicore-powered data-intensive high performance computing Java development platform. [6][7] The results of a study done in cooperation with the University of Texas on NetFlix data mining using DataRush was presented at the 15th Annual Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD-09) June 28-July 1, 2009, in Paris, France.[8]
